OUR ORGANIC FERTILIZATION PROGRAM
Application #1 : Febuary 15th - March 15th
The "Spring Treatment" is applied as temperatures increase and the turf begins to come out of dormancy. This is a critical time to provide the proper nutrients and a nitrogen boost to promote immediate root and turf development.

Application #2: April 15th - May 15th
The "Early Summer treatment" is applied to support the first treatment and attempt to maximize root stimulation and turf development before the intense heat of summer. A thick healthy turf is the goal in order to retain moisture that can be quickly evaporated from the blistering Texas heat.

Application #3: July 15th - August 15th
The "Summer Treatment" is a lighter treatment considered for maintaining the nutrient availability in the soil during the hottest months when attempting to keep a thick green lawn.

Application #4: October 15th - November 15th
The "Winterizing Treatment" is the final application of the year before the lawn begins carbohydrate storage and goes into the dormant season. Low dose of nitrogen are recommended as to not promote fungus in the turf with cooler weather.

LIQUID APPLICATION:
Contains: Compost tea, cider vinegar, molasses, seaweed, organic root stimulant, a fish emulsion product, and a live microbial product.

GRANULAR APPLICATION:
Contains: A poultry based well balanced product (4-2-2) that provides proper nutrient levels for plant ad turf development. *Both Applications are applied simultaneously to work with each other in the soil.

PRE-EMERGENT TREATMENTS:
A pre-emergent product can be applied at different times of the year in attempt to eliminate weed growth in the lawn from appearing. This product focuses on preventing weed seed from germinating for a two or three month period. Recommended application times are October and February.

FUNGUS PREVENTION & RECOGNITION:
With cooler weather it is most important to monitor the sprinkler system as to not create a wet environment in the evening. Such an environment is responsible for fungus development on the turf. Decreasing the watering times in late September and October is recommended and slowly working towards a once weekly watering or even non-existent watering dependent on weather conditions.

Even with reduction of watering a cool snap can easily promote fungus with our extreme humidity and dampness in the soil. Recognizing fungus development and applying proper treatment can easily remedy this common Texas problem. BROWN PATCH can be identified by yellow and brown circles forming in the grass. These areas can begin by being very small (6"-12") and can evolve into areas large enough to cover the whole property. Usually "Active" brown patch will have a brighter yellow color on the outside of the brown area. Once treated, this yellow color will disappear and a brown area in the grass will remain. This is simply dead grass and should be scratched with a rake and removed so new grass can grow to replace it.

TREATING FUNGUS "BROWN PATCH"
Organic treatment to brown patch should be applied immediately as soon as symptoms immerge. Once initial treatment of liquid and or granular organic product applied generously should stop movement and growth of the fungus immediately within 48 hour. A second follow up treatment is recommended in a seven to fourteen day period to ensure that brown patch is inactive and eliminated.

ORGANIC COMPOSTING:
Throughout the website you will notice the importance of a healthy organic soil and the benefits it has on beautiful lawn, thriving plants, and water conservation. Compost can be applied in a top dressing application at any time to add an extreme amount of nutrients and microorganisms. The best recommended time is the spring season (February - April). This way the turf has the time to develop before the stressful heat and can continue to benefit from the microorganism activity throughout the growing season.
